This set is similar to the CWES2-2, with the addition of a Repeater, which can be used by the referee or spectators.
The Repeater contains red and green LEDs plus a buzzer, the same as the Plugin.
The Repeater will automatically switch off 10 minutes after the last hit. The Repeater can be manually switched off by pressing the red button.
The Repeater can either be hand held or kept in the storage case and mounted on the Display Stand. Being hand held, the referee can move up and down the piste with the fencers, but have clear sight of the result. Mounting the storage case on the Display Stand allows both the referee and spectators to view the result.
There is no limit to the number of Repeaters than can be paired to the two Plugins, so you could have a configuration comprising a Repeater at each end of the piste and one in the center.
The Repeater will run over 10 hours or more than 2500 hits on a single charge using a standard USB-C charger (not supplied).

Excellent!
I love the new Hitmate! It has double the battery power, is more compact and comes with its own little perspective stand for the repeater. It also has a pin resistance tester, which is very handy. A little tweak is that the plugins are different colours, green and red so that fencers know easily which side to start even before they’ve tested their weapons.

Reviews
My students really enjoy the CWES2. Without exception, they go for it over the WF1, and they go for either wireless option over the wired scoring set.
The AEA's ability to test epee weapon resistance has been really helpful for ensuring weapon conductivity and function on the CWES2 and generally. I believe it is fairly-priced.
Some cheaper club epee socket retaining clips, are a bit big for the knob of the CWES - this can be accommodated with rubber bands or shifting the rubber ball.
