This is the first wireless scoring system on the market that plugs directly into the epee and has advanced software that can differentiate between body, guard and metal piste hits, without the need for calibration, giving a very high level of accuracy even under high levels of sweat.
This set comprises two Plugin units, three spare Plugin pins and a handy storage case.
Although the Plugin is slightly larger than a standard epee body wire connector, there is still plenty of space for your hand to move.
The Plugin contains high brightness red and green LEDs, along with a high volume buzzer.
The Plugins communicate with each other to determine the hit and the results are then displayed on both Plugins at the same time.
The Plugin meets all the FIE timing requirements.
The Plugin enclosure is made from CNC machined polycarbonate, which makes them very robust and able to withstand continuous direct hits.
The Plugin will run for over 10 hours or more than 2500 hits on a single charge. The Plugin will fully recharge in 2 hours using a standard USB-C charger (not supplied).
The Plugin has a test/coaching mode, which allows for rapid repetition of hits to help locate epee problems and for coaching.
The Plugin has a timeout mode to prevent fencers leaving the venue with the Plugin still inserted into their epee.
The Plugins are shipped as a pair, but can be paired with any other Plugin, Repeater or Repeater Relay.

Excelent!
Today we tried the Gen2 Wireless Hitmate on our salle. The device is easy to initiate, and it correctly cancels the hits on the metal piste and on the guard. The only caveat is that it also cancels hits on the mask if it has any areas that are not painted, and you hit them. The beeper sound is also on the low side but we managed to use the devices without any problems. We have 5 pistes and now we can have 6. Brilliant stuff. Wish I could connect the base to our scoring machines. It would be top!

Was looking for something to register hits in an easy way without hassle while the club is closed during the summer. CWES2 works really well and is easy to use. Fantastic new experience to be a able to practice in the garden whenever you feel for it. It works exactly as outlined in the instruction and so far seems reliable, guard hits are not registered. Expecting it to be a quite handy supplement also during normal club sessions. Highly recommended to any epee fencer.
